Dream Team Results
So the Mancs won the league, Chelscum won the FA Cup but the most important news is about to be revealed…the winner of Outrider’s Outsiders Challenge!
But before we get to that there’s the final Manager of the Month award, and for the first time in a long time, the team that scored the most points was actually playing for money. In 3rd place was Bald Is Beautiful XI with 186 points, in 2nd place was Dyslexia Untied with 195 points but the winner was Chee’s Maybe Today w00t with 213 points, who take the final £20 prize.
And so onto the main prize…
The runaway team of the season was Steve’s Bald Is Beautiful XI. With a total score of 2032 points, they’ve led pretty much from the beginning and I don’t think they were ever in danger of being caught. So congratulations to Steve!
But this team was only playing for fun. So…
…in 2nd place, after a late surge in the last couple of months, was Warren’s Saddam’s XI with 1844 points. Astute transfers made this team the top scorers after the second transfer window. But his team was only playing for fun also! So…
…in 3rd place, and I’m guessing he’s glad that Warren made the decision not to pay, was Steve’s other team, Bald Is Beautiful. Scoring a total of 1769 points, they had an average second half of the season (10th place) but still manage to take the top prize this year of £200.
In 4th place (or, coming second) were Stuart’s Space Cadets who were only 28 points behind Steve, and they receive £100
And in 5th (or 3rd) were Nic’s Fringe Putters who scored 1727 points and wins £60.
If you want to know where you came overall, here’s what the final table looked like:
So congratulations to all the winners throughout the season, and hope to see you again next year to do it all again!
