Fantasy Soccerball
Four months in and this year’s Dream Team League, Fantasy Soccerball, appears to be coming a two horse race. Albeit two horses with 5 teams! As of the 1st December, myself and Chee Lo take up the top 5 places with our teams! It’s quite close as well as there’s only 20 points between the top 3 and as last weekend proved it only takes 1 or 2 players to play well for things to change.
There has been one gatecrasher to our Manager of the Month party and that was Phil Harris who took October’s prize. But that didn’t last too long as both his teams took up the bottom two places the following month. Ha!
At the bottom, poor old FFC All Stars (a team made up of current and former Fulham players) languishes some 340 points off the top spot and look to be trying to go for the wooden spoon award. Even though there won’t be one! They even managed what is probably the lowest monthly score ever in September when they managed to score just 30 points!
But with an extra transfer window this season, there’s an extra chance to get rid of those players who haven’t performed or who are injured and make a push up the table.
