The Third Day, Time For Redemption?

After yesterday’s bore-fest I was hoping that day three at Maidstone Crown Court would be more interesting. In the words of Jim Diamond, I should have known better!

Upon arrival, we were told that there were three new cases due to be assigned today and so the chances of getting called for at least one of them was quite good. But by midday we were still waiting, although one group of people had been told that they could go home and return on Tuesday! Jammy bastards!

On the plus side this should mean that the chances of getting called onto a case had now got better as there were less jurors available for selection. But at 1pm we were told that we could go home for the day, as the three new cases were going to be delayed for some judicial reason, and to return the next day as normal.

With an unexpected half day off I hunted around to find a PS3 copy of Red Dead Redemption, the new game by Rockstar, so that I could at least do something interesting for the rest of the day. However, it seems as though the game is proving to be very popular as none of the 5 different stores I visited had any stock. The only thing they had to offer was a “Come back tomorrow, we might have some in.”
