Finally It’s Happening To Me

After 6 days it looks as though I may finally be getting the chance to sit on a jury! Unless the judge decides to do something stupid tomorrow!

Called down as part of a group of 15 just before lunch time and the sixth name was read out so I took my place on the edge of the first row and waited until all 12 were chosen and we were sworn in. The charges were read out and the judge gave his version of the “you must not speak to anybody” speech before we were dismissed for lunch.

Later that afternoon we were called back down to be given more background to the case and the case started with the prosecutor putting forward his case.

And that’s all I can really say until it’s all over, so expect an update later this week…
