Bad Weather Means No Footy

One major disruption on my life that comes about because of the snow and icy weather we’ve had over the last month or so, is the lack of football. It’s now been 5 weeks since Medway 2000 played a competitive match and there’s the possibility that it may be another 3 weeks before we play again.

The league is trying to arrange games for the 2nd January which normally they wouldn’t do, as it’s too close to the New Year. But with the risk of a fixtures backlog come March and April they’ve got to do something to get some matches played.

Last year we played 4 double header fixtures including three in three weeks! Hopefully we won’t have the same amount this season, but as there’s still 16 games to play in 19 weeks I’m hoping the good weather returns so we don’t have those double fixtures, or worse still, midweek games!
