Leaving It A Little Late

To avoid losing 10 days of holiday, The Wife had to take two weeks off before the beginning of April. So having provisionally booked off the last two weeks of the month we set about looking for somewhere to go for a bit of sun.

We decided to head back to Egypt, although not to Sharm El Sheikh as we had done previously, as it offered sun and diving at a relatively cheap price, and so we narrowed it down to either Taba Heights or Marsa Alam. We found a couple of resorts that we liked the look of and then it came down to price.

I wanted to get away for as little as possible and had set us a budget and only one place actually came below the magical figure and so that was how we settled on the Iberotel Lamaya resort in Marsa Alam. The only problem was that there was only one flight a week from the UK and it meant we had to jiggle our actual dates with work, but once we knew we could do that we went ahead to book it.

So in 8 days time we will be flying off for a cheap jaunt to Egypt for some sun, sand and scuba diving. I don’t think we’ve ever left something so late. Our prevuious best was booking a trip to Goa two weeks before we left.

Only problem is I haven’t had a chance to get my beach body ready!
